You can easily send sliced files to your Lumii DLP Dental 3D Printer using Wi-Fi and the Phrozen DS Slicer. Follow these steps to update your printer, connect to Wi-Fi, and upload files quickly and efficiently.
Update Your Lumii Printer Firmware (If Needed)
Before you begin, make sure your Lumii printer is running the latest firmware. Check this article for instructions on how to update your firmware.
How to check your current firmware version
- Tap the Info icon on the touchscreen.
- Select Printer Info.
- Look for the Firmware Version displayed on the screen.
Connect Your Lumii to Wi-Fi
What you’ll need:
- The Wi-Fi antenna (included with your printer)
How to do it:
- Attach the Wi-Fi antenna to the back of your Lumii printer.
- Turn on the printer.
- On the touchscreen, tap the Settings icon.
- Select Network.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Once connected, you’ll see an IP address displayed on the screen.
Install DS Slicer
How to do it:
- Download DS Slicer here.
- Open DS Slicer after installation.
- Plug in the DS Slicer dongle to activate the software.
Upload Your Files Wirelessly
Enable Sharing Service on the Printer
Before uploading, make sure the Sharing Service on your Lumii is turned on.
- Tap the Settings icon on the touchscreen.
- Select Sharing Service.
- In the top-right corner, toggle ON.
- Once enabled, you’ll see the Username, Password, and IP Address displayed on the screen.
Upload Files Using DS Slicer
Once Sharing Service is enabled and the printer is connected to Wi-Fi, you’re ready to upload files from DS Slicer.
- Open DS Slicer on your computer.
- Select Lumii DLP Dental 3D Printer.
- Click Panel in the top-right corner.
- Click Add to connect to your Lumii DLP (match the IP address shown on the Lumii screen).
- Once connected, go to File → Network Sending, and select your Lumii printer.
- After slicing and saving the file, choose Network Sending and send it to the printer.
- You’ll see a confirmation once the upload is complete.
