Firmware update is essential to enhance the printer’s performance and fix printer issues. Stay up-to-date with the latest firmware to get the most out of your printer.
For instructions on installing firmware to your printers, find your model below and click on the box:
Sonic LS+
Instructions
Please record your current Light Intensity from the Settings → Light Intensity before updating the firmware.
Before updating, go to Main Screen → bottom right icon → Printer Info to check your versions.
- If Firmware ends with PRZV1.06 → Firmware is up to date → Skip Steps 6–9
- If Resolution ends with V64.01 → FPGA is up to date → Skip Steps 10–11
If Both are Already Updated: Complete Steps 1–4, then Go Directly to Step 12.
- It is recommended to format the USB to FAT32 before installation.
- Download the firmware file of Sonic LS+ from the table below.
- Unzip the download firmware file (.rar), and save the unzipped files inside onto the root folder of the USB.
- Power on the printer, then plug in the USB when the printer is idle.
- If the system update window appears, please select "Cancel".
- Tap on the 3D icon on the corner left then press USB.
- Select app.bin, then Update > Update, and wait for the APP update to complete.

Once the update is complete, please tap on the "
" icon on the bottom right, then select "Printer Info".
- Check if the last version identifier of Firmware Version shows PRZV1.06, indicating the app.bin has been update successfully.
- Go back to the home page, then tap on the 3D icon on the corner left then press on USB.
- Select the .RBF file, then Update > Update, and wait for the FGPA update to complete.
- Restart the printer to update the ChituUpgrade.bin.
- Please tap on the "
" icon on the bottom right, then select "Printer Info". Check if the Resolution version is V64.01", which indicates FGPA update successfully, and the first character of the Firmware Version shows V1.1.8 has the value recorded prior to the update. If there is any discrepancy, kindly adjust and set it back to the original recorded value.
- Once the update is complete, remove the USB.
- Format the USB to prevent accidently update any other unit.
Sonic CS+
Instructions
Please record your current Light Intensity from the Settings → Light Intensity before updating the firmware.
Before updating, go to Main Screen → Bottom right icon → Printer Info to check your versions.
- If Firmware ends with PRZV1.28 → Firmware is up to date → Skip Steps 6–9
- If Resolution ends with V46.03 → FPGA is up to date → Skip Steps 10–11
If Both are Already Updated: Complete Steps 1–4, then Go Directly to Step 12.
- It is recommended to format the USB to FAT32 before installation.
- Download the firmware file of Sonic CS+ from the table below.
- Unzip the download firmware file (.rar), and save the unzipped files inside onto the root folder of the USB.
- Power on the printer, then plug in the USB when the printer is idle.
- If the system update window appears, please select "Cancel".
- Tap on the 3D icon on the corner left then press USB.
- Select app.bin, then Update > Update, and wait for the APP update to complete.

Once the update is complete, please tap on the "
" icon on the bottom right, then select "Printer Info".
- Check if the last version identifier of Firmware Version shows PRZV1.28, indicating the app.bin has been update successfully.
- Go back to the home page, then tap on the 3D icon on the corner left then press on USB.
- Select the .RBF file, then Update > Update, and wait for the FGPA update to complete.
- Restart the printer to update the ChituUpgrade.bin.
- Please tap on the "
" icon on the bottom right, then select "Printer Info". Check if the Resolution version is V46.03", which indicates FGPA update successfully, and the first character of the Firmware Version shows V1.4.4, indicating the ChituUpgrade.bin has been update successfully
- Please ensure that the light intensity matches the value recorded prior to the update. If there is any discrepancy, kindly adjust and set it back to the original recorded value.
- Once the update is complete, remove the USB.
- Format the USB to prevent accidently update any other unit.
CURE+
Make sure the USB only contains ONE update file at a time before plugging it into CURE+.
For Firmware Update
Please go to Information Page from the bottom right, and check the current UI Version. If your UI version is under V2.0.19, please perform the following steps.
- Download the firmware file of CURE+ from the table below and unzip the file.
- It is recommended to format the USB to FAT32 before installation.
- Save the curepota.bin from the unzipped file to the root folder of the formatted USB.
- Plug in the USB when CURE+ is idle.
- Go to Settings
→ Select Update
→ Select Firmware Update, then click Start. It will take approximately 10 minutes to finish the update.
- After the "Update finished" notification appears, click OK, and CURE+ will automatically restart.
- Go to the information page
again and check if the UI version has been successfully updated to V2.0.19.
- Remove the curepota.bin from the USB.
- Save the curepap.bin from the unzipped file to the root folder of the formatted USB.
- Plug in the USB when CURE+ is idle.
- Go to Settings
→ Select Update
→ Select Firmware Update, then click Start.
- After the "Update finished" notification appears, click OK, and CURE+ will automatically restart.
- Go to the information page
again and check if the FW version has been successfully updated to V1.1.46.
- Once complete, format the USB to prevent accidentally update any other unit.
For Curing Profile Update
Please make sure to update CURE+ Firmware to V1.1.46 first before updating the Curing Profile to V1.0.3.
- Go to Information Page from the bottom right and check the current PW Version. If the PW version is under V1.0.3, please perform the following steps.
- Download the Curing Profile file of CURE+ from the table below and unzip the file.
- It is recommended to format the USB to FAT32 before installation.
- Save the curep.db in the root folder of the formatted USB.
- Plug the USB when CURE+ is idle.
- Go to Settings → Select Update → Select Brand Resin Update, then click Start.
- After the "Update finished" notification appears, click OK, then the CURE+ will automatically restart.
- Go to information page from the bottom right and check if the PW version had been successfully updated to V1.0.3.
- Once complete, format the USB to prevent accidentally update any other unit.
Sonic XL 4K 2022.Sonic 4K 2022.Sonic XL 4K
Instructions
- Download one of the following SD card formatting software:
- SD Formatter: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/
- Win32: https://win32diskimager.download/
- Format the SD card. (Tutorial video)
- Download the firmware file to your PC, then write in the file to the SD card.
- The firmware update is now complete.
When complete, format the USB drive to prevent the update to other firmware and causing printer failure
Sonic 4K 2020
Instructions

- Format a USB to FAT32 and set the allocation to 2048 bytes
( USB 2.0 with 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB is suggested) - Select a firmware file for your model from the table below, download and unzip the file
- Save all files in the root folder of the formatted USB
- Turn off your printer, then plug the USB drive into your printer
- Turn on the printer
- The firmware will update automatically
- The printer beeps a few times when it finishes
- Remove the USB drive
- Done

Sonic XL 4K Plus

⚠️Note: It is important to ensure that you download the latest version of firmware that is designed for your specific printer model. Installing incorrect firmware could potentially make the printer inoperable. |

- Download the latest version’s firmware from below.
- Format a USB drive using FAT32 with a 2048/4096 bytes allocation unit size.
- Extract all files from the downloaded .rar.
- Copy all extracted files onto the USB drive’s root folder and eject the drive from the computer.
- Insert the USB drive into the printer.
- Execute file “Phrozen-xxxxx.gcode”.
- Once the printer finishes this file, proceed according to the prompt and restart your printer.
- The printer will auto-run the .bin file.
- Tap “INFO” to check the firmware version and ensure the update is complete.
- The latest version should read V1.1.5|V54.24
- Done.

DLP Lumii
Instructions
- Prepare a formatted USB.
- Download the Lumii firmware file from the table below, and extract it.
- Copy the extupdate.img from the extract file to the USB.
- Insert the USB to your printer before power on.
- Power on the printer, a system Update pop-up window will appear. Tap "Update" on the touch panel.
- Once completed, tap "Cancel" and remove the USB.
- Tap on the
→ then Printer Info
to check the Firmware Version. If firmware update succeed, the Firmware Version will be 2.3.31/V1.04.
When complete, format the USB drive to prevent the update to other firmware and causing printer failure
Make sure you download the firmware update specifically for your model. Installing inappropriate firmware may render the printer unusable.
