The LCD screen is an essential component in resin 3D printing. It is responsible for generating an image of each layer while an LED array project light through it to cure the resin.
As the LCD screen is a consumable part, it may need to be replaced after a period of use. When the LCD screen becomes damaged or worn out, it can result in lower print quality or failed prints. Therefore, replacing the LCD screen is necessary to ensure the continued performance and accuracy of your 3D printer.
Before You Begin
Tools Needed:
- 2 mm allen wrench
Removing the Old LCD
1. Peel off the LCD frame tape.
2. Use the 2 mm allen wrench to carefully ① pry up the LCD.
3. Remove the ①black tape.
4. Then press the side buttons on the cable to release and remove the old LCD.
Installing the New LCD
1. Install the new LCD.
2. Aligned the module to the upper-right corner to maintain correct positioning.
3. Reapply the black tape to secure the edges.
Conduct LCD Test

Note: 1. When handling plugged-in equipment, ensure that your hands are dry and, if possible, wear insulation gloves, protective clothing, and shoes with insulated soles. 2. Wear the UV 400 safety goggles before conducting the LCD test. |
Perform the built-in LCD test to confirm proper functionality.
Mode 1: Light Up Entire LCD Screen
This is to make sure that the LCD screen lights up completely and that there are no black spots.
This is to make sure the LCD is showing the correct pattern.
Mode 2: LCD Grid
Mode 1: Blackened LCD Screen
This is to make sure that there are no light spots and that the LCD screen is capable of covering up the light
