LCD Upgrade Kit Installation for Sonic 4K 2022

Installing the new LCD Upgrade Kit screen on your printer is a straightforward process. Follow these step-by-step instructions to ensure a successful replacement:

1. Open the front case of your printer to access the internal components.

2. Gently disconnect the touch panel cable from the front case to prevent any damage.

3. Disconnect the LCD cable from the LCD Adapter Board by carefully pulling it out.

4. Disconnect the second LCD cable from the LCD Driver Board.

5. Remove the 2 screws securing the LCD Adapter Board panel to the printer using a screwdriver, and set the screws aside safely.

6. Detach the LCD cable from the Adapter Board after removing the panel.

7. Disconnect all remaining cables from the LCD Driver Board to free the board from connections.

8. Remove the LCD Adapter Board by unscrewing the 3 screws that secure it in place, then lift the board out.

9. Unscrew the 4 screws securing the LCD Module, and carefully remove the LCD Module from the printer.

10. Position the new LCD Driver Board where the old one was, and secure it by tightening the 3 screws.

11. Connect the two cables to the new LCD Driver Board, ensuring they are properly seated in their respective connectors.

12. Install the new LCD Adapter Board panel by placing it in position and securing it with the 2 screws.

13. Attach the LCD cable to the new LCD Module, then place the module on top of the printer in its designated spot.

14. Secure the LCD Module by tightening the 4 screws, ensuring it is firmly in place.

15. Connect the LCD cable to the new LCD Adapter Board, making sure it clicks into place.

16. Attach the Adapter Board cable to the new LCD Driver Board to complete the internal connections.

17. Reconnect the touch panel cable to the front case, ensuring it is securely connected.

18. Reinstall the front case of the printer by aligning it properly and securing it in place with the appropriate fasteners.

19. Insert the new microSD Card provided in your upgrade kit into the microSD Card slot located on the back of the printer.

20. Plug in the power cord and turn ON your printer.

21. Run the LCD Test to verify that the new screen is functioning correctly.

22. Update the machine configuration to Sonic 4K 2022 V2 in DS Slicer, as demonstrated in this video: Sonic 4K 2022 V2 - DS Slicer Configuration

23. Congratulations! You’re all set. Your printer is now ready to use with the new LCD screen.

This LCD Upgrade Kit can ONLY be used with the Sonic 4K 2022 printer model only. It is not compatible with any other printer models.
